On 30 August 2021, the Málaga business magazine Vida Económica published a feature on Welllaw Abogados entitled «Welllaw Abogados, especialistas en asesoramiento legal y fiscal de empresas» (legal and tax advice for businesses).
The article looks back at the firm’s history since it was founded in 2014 by Federico Pérez-Padilla and Emilio Pérez de la Blanca, the arrival of Hortensia Laqué Rupérez as a partner, and the cross-disciplinary advice we provide to companies in corporate, tax and finance, employment, litigation and insolvency matters.
Among other things, the feature highlights:
- the firm’s international and technology focus, supporting local companies as they expand abroad and international groups as they establish themselves in Málaga;
- our experience in tax planning, business restructurings, refinancing agreements and the purchase and sale of companies and business units;
- the firm’s move in 2020 to larger offices in Málaga;
- the recognition of Hortensia Laqué as Best Lawyers® Lawyer of the Year 2021 for Litigation (an award she received again in 2023 and 2026).
As Federico Pérez-Padilla put it in the interview, the aim is for every client to feel that theirs is not just another case, but their case.
